Sowing Seeds of Saneet: A New Chapter at Shriji Sangeet Vidyalay

In the spiritually rich surroundings of Barsana, where the air itself resonates with devotion, Shriji Sangeet Vidyalay has opened a new and promising chapter in 2025. Under the divine inspiration of Shri Ramesh Baba Maharaj, the Vidyalay has begun formal training in Hindustani vocal music, harmonium, tabla, and Kathak—a holistic blend of sound, rhythm, and movement.

Since March 2025, the ashram’s children have embraced this opportunity with enthusiasm and reverence. Each day, the Vidyalay becomes a sanctuary where students not only learn technical skills but also deepen their spiritual connection through disciplined practice. These young learners, nurtured in the ashram’s serene and sacred environment, are discovering that music is far more than an art—it is a path to devotion.

Morning sessions begin with foundational vocal exercises and raga practice, followed by harmonium accompaniment and tabla rhythm work. For some, the graceful footwork of Kathak adds another expressive dimension to their sadhana. Every class is infused with the spirit of seva and bhakti, reflecting the core values taught by Baba Maharaj.

A significant milestone came early in their journey—Ram Navami, April 2025, marked the children’s first stage performance. In front of a heartfelt and supportive audience within the ashram, they offered their music as a devotional tribute to Shri Ram. The performance was more than a display of skill—it was a moment of grace, unity, and spiritual celebration.

As these young sadhaks continue their musical path, Shriji Sangeet Vidyalay remains committed to nurturing not only capable artists, but devotees whose music becomes an offering. With each note and every beat, the Vidyalay carries forward the timeless vision of its founder—to awaken love for the Divine through the sacred discipline of Indian music and dance.
